Weather in Fiji – April
Generally, this is the beginning of the drier and somewhat cooler months in Fiji but not officially the ‘dry’ season just yet. It means visits from people who can’t cope with tropical heat. There’s a noticeable change from being very wet to the islands seeing drier and clearer skies, with little or no rain. The temperatures are still high but less humidity makes for a more comfortable Fiji experience. Fiji is never “cold”…only cool in the night time and although April is ‘autumn’ there’s really no respite from the heat. In terms of tourism, April is considered low to shoulder season so other than the Easter holidays (if Easter falls in this month depending on the year) it is a good time to book – lower hotel rates and the weather is definitely milder than the wet season.
